1. Identify a contact and navigate to the contact's record. On the Activity tab, click Email icon. The From field will auto populate with the user's email and the To field should auto populate with the contact's preferred email. If the Email option is not available, please contact your Salesforce Administrator.


2. An email message can be directly typed in the content area or an Email Template can be used or created by clicking the Insert, Create, or Update Template icon. Once an Email Template is inserted, it will overwrite the pre-existing text in the content editor. At this point, make any additional edits and click Send.
The sent email will appear in the Activity timeline for later reference.
