Accessing Salesforce and Online Tableau Connection


1. Locate Salesforce from the
To a Server section on the left side panel.
2. Sign in with your Salesforce Credentials. If you have a custom domain, please select Use Custom Domain and enter your
custom domain which can be found in the URL.




3. Now you will need to authorize the login with either an Authenticator App or an Authorization Code will be sent to your email that is tied to your Salesforce log in. Make sure to Click Allow Access. 
4. Next, you will view the Data Source screen.
5. Click on Server and choose ‘Sign In’. 
6. For Server choose ‘Tableau Cloud and click Connect. Log in with your Tableau Cloud Credentials.



7. Locate the ‘Table’ on the left side of the screen and search for a Salesforce Object by clicking on the search icon.
8. Drag the desired Salesforce Object to ‘Drag tables here’.
9. Once the desired Object(s) have been brought into view, click on ‘Go to Worksheet’. The Extraction process will start, this
may take a few minutes.

NOTE:
Multiple Salesforce Objects can be connected in the same data connection, however, the Objects must be related to one another in Salesforce. You must connect with the field that connects the two Objects to one another.
